I told Charles we needed a pumpkin to celebrate the season. My request went unanswered (I thought) until I came home to see him proudly working on this. Yes, it’s a self portrait. Mind you, this was carved last week, so our friend never actually made it to the holiday. It’s rotting in a box to be taken downstairs in the morning. Though it’ll never see a candle, thought I shed a little light on his endeavor this way.
