Kelsey Blackwell explores how reconnecting with the wisdom of the body can support Black and brown bodies to unhook from internalized patterns of “not enoughness” and to reclaim our inherent brilliance and worth. She empowers audiences to recognize that the discomfort so many of us feel in our bodies is not an impediment to our thriving but rather a door towards learning how to more deeply come home to ourselves. She offers practices that all bodies can do that support relating to ourselves with kindness, curiosity and trust.
Kelsey’s book, Decolonizing the Body: Healing, Body-Centered Practices for Women of Color to Reclaim Confidence, Dignity and Self Worth, has been celebrated as “a deeply needed antidote, balm and guide to BIPOC women seeking an embodied path away from the imprints of dominance and internalized forces of oppression.” She is the creator of the 8-week program: Decolonizing the Body, and author of the viral article, “Why People of Color Need Spaces Without White People” She has brought her teaching to numerous conferences and businesses Including the following …
